Through the Emergency Voucher Program, NAHA provides emergency vouchers to support Native Americans in urgent need. With your help, these vouchers can ease the strain of emergencies, ensuring that essential needs are met.

The Importance of Emergency Vouchers

Imagine needing treatment for cancer, kidney dialysis, or even a routine doctor’s visit, but the nearest facility is over 100 miles away. With limited resources, many Native American families cannot afford gas or transportation. For some, a simple trip to a medical facility would be impossible without our help.

In 2012, thanks to a donation from United Auto Workers, NAHA was able to purchase two vans that transport people to essential medical appointments. This support has been life-changing, especially for the elderly and those without other means of transport.

Our Emergency Voucher Program provides critical assistance to:

  • Homeless Families

  • Native Americans with Disabilities

  • Elderly without Transportation

  • Children Needing Medical Care

Each voucher helps ease the difficulties faced by vulnerable Native Americans who need access to healthcare, food, and heating fuel.
