With the help of our many generous donors, NAHA continues to make great strides and
accomplishments throughout the year.
NAHA experienced several challenges with the constant increases in
fuel and heating costs, as well as, prices in general rising. However, NAHA was able to rise above the price
increases and continue our various programs for the needy Native American
men, women and children, all made possible by our kind and generous donors.
Our Food Distribution program exceeded 1.4 million pounds of food that was
distributed to the Rosebud, Pine Ridge, Crow Creek and Lower Brule
Reservations in South Dakota. This food helped many elderly and infirm
Native Americans make it through the last 5-7 days of the month.
Our Clothing Program continues to grow
each year. Through the many
donations from our donors, NAHA
was able to distribute 283,067 pounds of clothing in 2005. This is a blessing to the many Native
Americans that struggle to make ends meet each month. Thank you to everyone who sent their
“gently used” items to us.
Many thanks, to all of our donors who
supplies “Santa” with the many toys that we received at Christmas. The joy that the toys provided to the
Native American children warmed our hearts and we wanted to share this with
you. The letter below is from Wayne
Boyd, Vice President of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe.

Below are pictures of food boxes that
are prepared and sent to the reservations and clothing that help many
Native Americans survive the daily hardships of reservation life.
